My Favorite Things: Today

Let me just say, I borrowed the idea for this list from someone else. I just can't quite remember who started the idea, though it's entirely possible it was the creation of a young woman with a penchant for singing in the hills who ended up marrying the father of the six children she was a nanny for. (Rather scandalous when it's put that way, don't you think?)

Here's a list of some of my favorite things in no particular order:

• Ivanka Trump's new line of shoes. Clearly she's a city chick; hot shoes that are affordable, exactly what you want in your closet, and with inserts so you can actually walk in them! 
• Rachel Platten's debut album, Be Here Now. (Hint: If Sam Cox at BMI ever suggests you go check out an artist. You should.)
• Chen Lo and the Liberation Family. I don't know that much about them except to say that they wanted to release an album after touring the world as part of The Rhythm Road, and Kickstarter helped them raise the funds to head into the studio and get to work.
• Biking in central park on sunny days (minus tourists)...sorry guys, but you're a traffic hazard.
• "NCIS" marathons on USA.
• Fish Tacos with lime and cilantro.
• Afternoon naps.
